Update Claim Status
Sometimes it is necessary to manually change the status of claim manually update a claim's status either as a standard user or an admin user.
- Click eStatus>Report List>Claims>Claim Reports.
- Select either the Pending Claims for last 7 days or Rejected Claim for last 7 days report.
- Enter the search criteria using Filter Options.
- Select the check box to the left of the claims to be updated. Or, to select all claims displayed do not select any.note: You can update the status of a single claim from the Claim Inquiry - Claim Detail screen and follow the below steps.
- Select Update StatusThe Claim Status Update screen appears with either the Selected Claims on the page or Claims resulted from search radio button selected, based on claims selected from step 4.
- At Status, select the status to which to update the claim(s).
- Select None at the Status field to enter a message without updating the status.note: Standard user will have Status options of None (default) and Completed. Admin users have None, Pending, Rejected, Acknowledged, Accepted, and Completed.
- (Admin user only) At Who, select who is responsible for updating the status.
- (Admin user only) Select the Override status transition restrictions check box to override any system rules regarding the transition of a claim. note:If there is manual override of the status and the check box is not checked, then status will not be changed. If the check box is not checked and the status change is a restriction the message,
Please check Override status transition restrictions as it is a status override
appears. - Select Save to update the status.The system displays the message,
