About Single Sign On (SSO)

Using Single Sign On

Single Sign On (SSO) lets you seamlessly and easily log on to multiple applications using one sign on rather than having multiple different sign ons for multiple products. Upon logging in to athenaEDI with your SSO, you are brought to the EDI landing page.

SSO must be enabled at the customer level using the Preference, " Enable Single Sign On" and the user must be setup to use SSO by the administrator. Once setup for SSO, the user's only sign-on option is SSO. ECAdmin users and non-SSO users have the aEDI login option display.

ECAdmin user can be created as a SSO user in customer Admin portal to login using SSO.

It is recommended that customer Admin user has two logins: SSO and aEDI user. This is to avoid being locked out should something go wrong with SSO.

In User management, the SSO User field displays only if SSO is enabled for the customer. The User ID, User Name, and SSO User ID fields are mandatory when setting up an SSO user. The Password field is disabled.

For an aEDI user, User ID, User Name, and Password fields are mandatory. The SSO User ID field is disabled.

A user can be created as a SSO or aEDI and not both. If both logins are required, then two separate users accounts need to be created.
