Manually Uploading an Unsolicited Claim Attachment

This task is used to manually upload supporting documentation at the time of claim submittal.

  1. Select the Claim Attachments tab. Records matching the default criteria appear (Claim Submitted Date: Last ten days, Claim Attachment Status: All, Group/Practice: None).
  2. Select Filter Options to enter search criteria. The main filter parameters appear with default values selected.
  3. Optionally, select Advanced Filter to enter additional criteria.
  4. Select Filter. Records matching the entered criteria appear.
  5. Select the claim number for which you want to attach a claim. The Claim Attachments-Claim Detail screen appears with the Upload Attachments tab displaying.
  6. Select either Drop file here to drag and drop the attachment anywhere in the Upload Attachments area, or Choose File to upload the attachment. Attachments must be in a PDF or TIFF format.
  7. Select Submit Attachments. A message appears indicating the attachment(s) were successfully submitted. Once the statuses for all documents are updated to submitted, the overall attachment status is also updated to submitted.
    note:
    • Once the overall attachment status is changed to submitted, you can't remove the documents and the trashcan icon is greyed out.
    • You can view the claim status and any messages in Claim History.
    • Associated claim attachment file details are located under the Associated Files tab.
