Describes key screen fields in Claim Status Inquiry

Screen Element Description
Add Columns (action) Select columns from the drop-down to add to the standard columns already displayed.
  • Payer ID
  • Claim Age in Days
  • EDI Claim Status
  • Claim Submitted
CSI Mode (filter) Filter option displays if both batch and web CSI options are enabled at your site. Select one of the following:
  • Batch CSI
  • Web CSI
  • All (default)
CSI Status (filter) Select from the following:
  • All (Default)
  • Error
  • Initiated
  • Processed
Date Type (filter) Select one of the following
  • Claim Status Inquiry (default) - Filters claims based on Claim Status Inquiry date.
  • Claim Submitted -Filters claims based on Claim Submitted date.
Finalized Date (column) Displays the date the claim was finalized from the response.
Initiate CSI (action) Select to initiate CSI for single or multiple claims. This action displays only if user has the proper security privileges. You are only available to initiate a CSI for claims meeting the following criteria:
  • Accepted & remit not received.
  • Acknowledged & remit not received.
  • Other claims will be ignored from CSI.
Once initiated and successful, the CSI Response tab becomes available on the Claim Detail screen where claim and service level details are displayed.
note: This button is be disabled for Batch Initiated Inquiries.
Inquiry Date (column) Displays the date and time on which the status inquiry is initiated.
Inquiry Status (column) Displays one of the following:
  • Initiated - CSI is initiated but any kind of response is not received.
  • Error - hovering over the tooltip displays a description of the error.
  • Processed - the inquiry is successful
note: This column always displays the latest status. To view previous inquiries/statuses, select the claim number and prior inquiries display on the CSI Response tab from most recent to the oldest.
Suggest Claims for CSI (filter option) If checked then claims meeting the following criteria display:
  • Current Claim Status = Accepted or Acknowledged.
  • Remittance Status = No.
In the grid, the following columns display:
  • Claim No
  • Payer Name
  • Charges
  • Claim Submitted
  • Claim Age in Days
  • Add Columns displays with Payer Id and EDI Claim status as options

CSI Mode filter options are disabled when Suggest Claims for CSI is selected.

note: This filter option displays only for Web CSI.
